Covid at The Bridge

In accordance with government guidelines, we have put in place a number of safety measures to keep both our customers and staff safe following the relaxation of the lockdown rules. Please read our risk assessment that details the measures we have put in place including a one way system, table service only and our cleaning procedures.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

It’s been great having you all back through our doors again, but there are a few social distancing rules we have in place that we want you all to know about. This is to keep both our customers and staff safe, and to stay in accordance with government guidelines.

It is now mandatory that all of our customers wear masks when moving around the building. This includes when you get up to use the bathroom. Once you are sat down you are of course welcome to remove your mask and get comfortable. Our hours have also changed once again, to closing at 10pm as instructed by the government. The new tier 2 restrictions also mean that you will not be able to meet members of a different household indoors. We do have lots of heated outdoor seating, but booking is essential as we expect these tables to be in high demand.

As we have limited tables in order to keep everyone a safe distance apart, bookings of over four people (six person limit) we will now require card details to secure the table. No charge will be made if your party arrive for the booking or decide to cancel, however if you are a no show you will be charged £5 per head. We also will no longer hold tables for longer than 15 minutes past your arrival time as we expect there to be a larger than normal demand for tables and we want to serve as many of you as we can.

Unfortunately, there will be no service at the bar, and instead both drinks and food will be ordered via table service, so when you arrive, please fill in a track and trace form, take a seat and wait for a member of staff to come over to you. We will also be aiding the government with their test and trace scheme so upon your arrival we will require the name and contact details of each member of your party (excluding children).

For bookings with children it is essential that you please keep them seated throughout your visit with us so as not to cause risk or stress to our other customers. We are also currently unable to hand out crayons with the kid’s menus, so we ask that you bring a set with you if you think it will help keep your little ones entertained.

Throughout the pub there are clear markings including exit only signs and arrows on the floor. Please follow these markings as we are currently operating a one-way system in order to try and keep you all socially distanced.

For more details on how we’re keeping our customers and staff safe please visit the COVID tab on our website, where you will be able to find a full risk assessment.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support during these unusual times.
